Steven P. Gibson – President
Steven Gibson is a University of Florida graduate and a third generation insurance agent. The family involvement in the industry dates back to W.O. “Omah” Gibson and the Gibson & Wirt agency founded in 1912.
A native of central Florida, Steven Gibson started his career as an independent agent. In 1990 he became specialized in the Automotive Industry and Garage Liability insurance. Over the next decade, Gibson received the Top Producer awards from Universal Underwriters, John Deere Insurance Company, and Sentry Insurance Group for his production and achieved the highest levels of distinction and recognition for his knowledge and expertise in the Automotive industry. His experience with F & I products and the legal issues that encompass these transactions give DRS a unique experience level in the Automotive Insurance arena.
Mr. Gibson continues the family tradition of commitment to service and those values that are at the very core of Dealer Risk Services.
Lori J. Sousa – CEO
Lori Sousa is a second generation insurance professional with 20 years experience in the industry. Ms. Sousa began her insurance career as an independent agent in south Florida. In 1990, she began a specialization in the Marine Industry…serving as the Lead Underwriter in the development of a Dive Boat Program. As an enterprenuer, Sousa opened her first agency in 1997 using her experience and unique understanding of coastal property issues. Later, as the principal for LJS Insurance Group, she continued to service the Marine Industry as she expended her scope to include placements for the entire state.
Lori is well-known for her work with the south Florida Marine Associations and the Florida Marine Contractors Association where she serves on the Board of Directors.
In 2010, she accepted a position on the Board of Directors for Womens’ Automotive Association International (WAAI). As the CEO for Dealer Risk Services, Lori understands the challenges for women. Her commitment to WAAI provides her with the platform to work with Women Dealers expanding opportunities and developing unique programs for the Automotive Industry.
